PV behind the scenes part 2

In case you're wondering, Yossi said "for you" when she passed the toy to Rika.
I think couples only will do that. And do they know the camera's still filming? Cos this is very important! LOL

(Me says...) Remember I said before I have a theory for the UFO thinggie? I read it somewhere (her CDS?) not so long ago about Yossi mentioning how she likes going to arcades and how she especially loves to play on these UFO catcher machines. And when I saw that "Top Secret" PV had such scenes, it got me thinking. I was wondering about the concept of this PV. Obviously in the PV hAngry & Angry are supposed to be celebrities of some sort and always under public scrutiny. The song talks about hidden love, how they have to keep it "top secret", how "nevermind" they feel even though this (their?) love is not allowed by the majority and although the lyrics said that a 'guy' was involved, I think the fact would be easily overlooked by any ishiyoshi fan (lol). In the PV, the girls practically kept to themselves. To them, private leisure time means staying in their room playing hi-tech games or lazing around on soft cushions. When they are outside, they would be either frolicking inside their limousine or playing in arcades after all shops are closed. That's what got me thinking. Are all scenes in the pv purely the director's idea or the girls actually gave some inputs too? Like what they normally do with their private time? Since Rika is a home person, we have those cooped-up-in-the-room scene? And for Yossi, it would be going to arcades? Despite the PV looking so made-believe, so surreal like a fantasy, I can't help but feel there might be some links to reality in it. Just when I think the PV is NOT about them, I see something subliminal that might mean otherwise And everything so falls in line with real-life speculations whether 'they are' or 'they aren't'. It messes your mind and makes you want to love it and hate it.

I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say because I realize most of the times I have trouble putting my exact thoughts into words. Haha!

H&A @Chibi Japan Expo Episode 2 is up at myspace, and many many vids of their concert fan-recordings.
I won't post those links here, since the links are available everywhere in all HP-related forums.

(Me says...)One particular guy's recording of "TOP SECRET" was awesome; he shot it like a real pro (no shaking - thank goodness) and his vid is crystal clear! And all thanks to him, I could see the girls performing that sexy dance in the beginning, although the stage was kinda dim at that time. To me, that IS the winner of the whole mini concert.

Either Rika was visibly tired throughout the whole trip or the tension's a little weird between Yossi and her. I noticed, in both myspace vids, an obvious lack of eye-contact, if compared with vids from L.A Sakura Con. In the new vids, I just sensed some negative vibes. But then again, it could be just me, since I'm quite a paranoia.

Seriously, I don't understand the big hoo-ha surrounding 'TOP SECRET"
Don't they listen to the lyrics? The beginning already says all as hAngry sings:

BTW, in her blog, Miki apologized to Rika for making her look 'stupid' without her shoes on.

Miki also admitted that she had no idea who the girls were when she first caught sight of them in their office.

She even thought "wow, how humans have 'evolved'". Of course, at closer look, she quickly recognized them as Yossi and Rika.

(Me says...) For those who still thinks Miki is close to Yossi, it's time to wake up. Miki doesn't even know Yossi is in a group called hAngry&Angry, and I bet Miki is even interested to know that H&A already had two successful gigs in the US and is heading to Paris this weekend. How's that for showing how much you care for a friend? For once, I thought acquaintance might be a better word.

They are now called hAngry & Angry f (make that official).

During Q&A segment, when asked about her baseball match watching with Rika-chan, Yossi said Rika got really angry when Hanshin lost; the latter's behaviour is also very 'uncle' when she is watching baseball games. Because Rika looks really scary when she's angry, Yossi hopes Hanshin will win the next time they go watch again.

Kemeko feat. Rika

According to the latest entry in Kemeko's blog, Rika was at her house drinking yesterday. An entry before this, which was dated 16th Oct, Kemeko mentioned that she just got back from a hair salon where she had hair extension, and Rika was with her. So with this new entry, we know, apparently, Rika had followed Kemeko home.
So where's Yossi? Was she around too? Some may ask.
Well, since Yossi has to be in Fukuoda today for her Special One Man Live at Gate's7, she would have flown out of Tokyo yesterday.


(Me says...) So somebody's out of town and somebody's all alone and has to find solace elsewhere. LOL

All of us fans know how Rika seldom talks or mentions Yossi during her dinner shows (although Yossi behaves less reticent). In fact, I would say that unless Yossi turns up at the event, Rika would never talk about Yossi at all, and since today's event was held in Osaka, I hadn't expected Yossi to turn up to support her good friend. Right? Because it will then be 'too obvious' if Yossi really traveled all the way to Osaka.

Yet today, Rika had spoken up...

During her MC segment, Rika said that on the 8th of this month, she and Yossi had gone together to watch a baseball match.

Wow~
What a statement...

And on the 8th, if some of you still remember, Kemeko had blogged that she met Yossi in a hair salon and Yossi was there to have her hair colour changed. That means on that day, Yossi had gone to meet Rika later. But who knows... maybe Rika was at the hair salon too, just that Kemeko conveniently forgot to mention it. I said that because Rika, too, had her hair colour changed for the 4th Gen show and she had even added hair extensions. I remember the day when I read about Kemeko's post (on Yossi), I had a hunch (or, wishful thinking) that Rika might be around too, but our Kemeko, thinking of the complications that would arise from her frank reporting, has since learned to 'talk' wisely. I'm sure she still remembers all the hoo-ha she caused when she told on TV how Rika, Yossi and her spent their Christmas together partying at her home; a place wotas now lovingly call 'Kemeko House'.

Yossi isn't lying when she said Rika and her are often together these days. On the 4th - Ayaya's concert surprise; 8th - baseball match; 10th - 4th Gen event. And these were only those known dates.


Edit (after some clarification): Apparently, on that day, Rika met Yossi in the office and told the latter that she was going to a baseball match, and Yossi was like "what? what? you mean 'going' as in you're going inside (the stadium)?" before asking "what if I want to go? are we going together?"

What you guys miss while I was away...

(October) A staff involved blogged that they were filming a H&A PV.Apparently, there was this big white limosine.

(October) Rika and Yossi sprung a surprise on Ayaya (in the latter's concert). They appeared on stage in bunny outfits and at first, Ayaya didn't know who they were. When they disclosed their identities, Ayaya was very surprised and the crowd went crazy. Rika said she almost suffocated while wearing the outfit. Yossi said they had decided to come and have fun since both Rika and her were free.

(October) During her recent CDS, Yossi asked fans if they remembered the last time they did a survey for song requests. Yossi said she went through the list and realized that some songs couldn't be performed solo. For example Ice-cream to My pudding. She said maybe she should get Rika-chan to come the next time so that they could perform it together.

(September) Yossi attended Rika's STB event, the recent one. Wotas said that Yossi was seated together, or at least near, Rika's mother and sister. Wotas noticed Rika would often look up in the direction where Yossi and her family were seated. During her MC, Rika mentioned vaguely that things concerning Yossi and her family are supposed to be naishou. (meaning: secret)

(September) A staff working in a restaurant blogged in her mixi that Yossi and Rika came to dine in her work place. The girls dined in a private room. It seems that they are regular guests of the restaurant.

In the beginning, the girls enacted the Ganko family.
Ganko said "Ore no onna, ore no onna." (my woman, my woman) to Tomeko. 
Tomeko asked if she could have the pudding* in the fridge then and Ganko said "No, that pudding is mine."
There was a part where Ganko Ittetsu hugged Tomeko from behind.

* pudding here refers to V-U-Den's infamous Ice-cream & My pudding song. A song all wotas know that Yossi like a lot.

When Rika mentioned her BBQ at home last year, Yossi asked if that was why she had suddenly received a weird email of a pic of Rika BBQ'ing in the veranda only dressed in bikini.

When Tsuji made fun of Rika and her toilet smell, Yossi said she's okay with it since she recognises the smell of Rika's perfume. When wotas asked Yossi to disclose the brand Rika uses, Rika said 'No.'

Rika called Yossi 'kakkoii' after their rendition of Mr.Moonlight.

Rika said despite the rough exterior and 'crude' language Yossi often uses, Yossi's actually a nice and decent girl at heart.

When they talked about cooking, Yossi said she's quite often at Rika's place and sometimes Rika will cook, but somehow the latter always cuts her vegetables dangerously. She went on to describe how Rika will cut it vertically when other people normally will cut it horizontally (lying flat).

Freudian slip, and a remarkable show of courage.

Yossi calling herself a 'man' from Saitama is the best Freudian slip ever! Although she herself noticed the slip, the damage was done. Then Mari asking Yossi 'don't tell me you're...' is pure gold too. Rika appeared slow in reacting; perhaps she wasn't paying attention and most probably was going through her coming speech in her mind. But when she knew what had happened, she wasn't really amused by it. I wonder why. The second time around, Yossi managed to say 'onna no ko' correctly but the crowd still jeered. She refuted "But I am a woman!" and even challenged the crowd if they wanted a body check. Kei and Mari shouted 'Hey!' and Yossi turned back and said "no, that won't do, right?" before turning back and said almost poutingly "because I'm an Idol." Although Yossi should be looking where Kei and Mari were, I self-willingly believe that she was actually looking at Rika and it was Rika's presence that made Yossi mention the no-nos of an Idol, as if she was suddenly reminded of something, like someone often admonishing her to behave like an idol.

When Rika turned back to look at Yossi (for affirmation?) when she said she was an ordinary 'onna no ko' who got to be a Morning Musume, I felt the vibes all so familiar. How many were like me and were reminded of the way Yossi had just looked at Rika? (ok, you may insist it were Kei and Mari.) The eye-contacts even though the stage was full of people; they were behaving as if only both of them were on stage. Later, they showed their unmatched rapport, again, when Rika had only mentioned 'from the same generation' and Yossi was already searching for the missing 4th Gen member. Going along, Rika told Yossi there's no need to look because there will always be 4 of them from 4th Gen. I never expected that coming from Rika and, to speak the truth, her words touched me deeply. Mainly because she was the last person on my mind that I think would dare to defy the management. Such bold statement. I would say it was a remarkable show of courage from Rika~ bravo!

And finally, not only to Rika, but to all of us as well, 4th Gen will forever be 'otosan, okasan, and musukodachi.'

All this at the crucial time when I wanna say a few things about my favourite couple. And without pictures, all theories will be so bloody boring.

Anyway... here goes.

Ever wonder why Rika will never wear one-sided earrings?
Yossi does (often), right?
Just recently, I finally caught Rika wearing only one earring on her left ear. It is in Haroten Party 2 (Osaka). Because her hair was covering both her ears,it's not easy to see it, however, when she tilts her head sometimes, you should be able to see that only her left ear has an earring. I remember seeing it got me kinda excited because it is in line with my belief that Rika IS a very low-profile person or one who takes great pains to separate her onscreen and offscreen persona. Onscreen, proper. Offscreen (her real self), a rebel. She must have thought that she got it hidden this time, but 'Oops', just oops~. >_<

Then I remember I had felt the same excitement when I was watching the clip where Yaguchan suddenly paid Kei and Rika a visit in a restaurant where they were having lunch. I get THAT same vibes about Rika again. The mysterious side. When Kei asked Yaguchan why she was filming and Yaguchan had answered 'it's for TV', I saw Rika's face suddenly drained of colour when she was looking strangely at Kei. For a brief moment, I even felt that she had turned a little awkward before she parted her fringe for a close-up shot, still looking pretty unsettled, although she tried to put on her best smile. She must be wondering 'is it okay for fans to see me like this? with no make-up and memorized scripts?' Rika's face just said it. It's no wonder Yossi said that Rika's easily understandable from her expressions alone.

Now, in retrospect, can you imagine a restrained and careful person like Rika having a blog? A place where she'll have to share her life with everybody, strangers? I said that because I often read how wotas are hoping that both Rika and Yossi would have their own blogs. So, do you think that day will ever come?

I don't think so. My guess is that it's going to take a lot of persuasion (and perhaps attractive incentives) before Rika will accede to the request. As for Yossi, we should already know the answer since she had said in her CDS that she will not have a blog, at least not anytime soon, because she finds it a hassle to update so very frequently (despite being tech-savvy). Maybe amebo or oricon didn't approach them, some may think. Now, how could that be when less popular H!P members, such as EGGS, even have their own blogs by now.

Ask yourself. When you spend the larger part of your leisure time with each other, what could you blog that would not allude readers to think otherwise? Would there be things to blog about, times when you're actually doing things alone? Many celebrities are exposed this way for dating each other just because they overlook, when they post similar pictures albeit separately. And I'm sure the girls know how h!p wotas are well known for being sharp-eyed.

So, what I'm trying to say is that, for people with secrets to hide, blogs would really be the last thing on their minds.

Anyway, all the above are hypothetical; my occasional weird theories.

So far, there has been no sightings, and no sent flowers (although Yossi has no need for that, given their relationship).

Yuuko said that she got to the shop where Kaotan, Atchan (Inaba Atsuko) and she always eat and was surprised to see Yossi there too; she saw no seaweed. She was surprised that Yossi actually turned up since the latter had said her schedule's going to be quite hectic these few days. Rika came later after her work. Yuuko got another nice surprise when she saw Rika's face pop up from behind the door since no one had told her that Rika would be coming.

* Yossi wore the same outfit from STB.

* Audience can ask questions. They wrote their questions and dropped it in a box before the show started. During Q&A session, Yossi quietly skimmed through the questions before she said "a lot is about Rika-chan." She didn't answer any questions regarding Rika and summarized by saying "didn't I already said I like her?" as if all those questions had asked the same "Do you like Rika-chan". "Because I can't say I dislike her, it'll be terrible right?"

Other things Yossi said in her MC.

* She's going back to short black crop. When the crowd made sounds of protest, Yossi asked for their understanding, saying her long hair was getting too troublesome to manage.
* She won't have an official blog because she knows she won't update it assiduously. She thinks it is a hassle to record when or where everything she's done.
* She seems really keen in running a marathon.
* She had injured herself through over training.

GATAS' sacas public practice - last (24th Jun)

Fans became worried when Yossi did not join in the practice.
Was the rumor about her being pregnant true then?

Not quite.

During STB, she mentioned that she strained her left shoulder while doing some muscle training. Apparently, the problem had gotten worse.

Therefore, she would be the umpire instead.

So, what happened next?

Well... when we have referee Yossi on the rampage~~~ who do you think will be the victim?

Ishikawa Rika, who else...

As the girls lined up to kick off, Rika suddenly said "chotto matta!" and left the playing court on her free will. Seeing that, Yossi then mimicked a red-card flashing gesture at Rika for her apparent contempt of authority. Actually, Rika had gone to pick up shin guards that all the players had forgotten to put on. Supporters were then treated to a rare sight of seeing the girls with their socks down putting on shin guards.
During play, Rika tried to trap a long ball with her chest with both her hands raised. A whistle was blown immediately. Although all players in court resumed play with Notchi quickly scoring a goal later, referee Yossi disallowed the goal and said Rika was fouled for handball. Rika quickly pleaded with the decision, and since no one had thought that it had been a foul because everybody just resumed play. But referee Yossi insisted that it was a handball and pointed to a spot for a free kick.
Now, everybody knew that was on purpose.

According to other reports, Rika was pure fun to watch. During a shooting practice, she even fumbled three times in a row, missing her mark ridiculously, bringing the supporters into a frenzy of laughter. When Rika looked towards Yossi, Yossi just shrugged and had a 'can't be helped' look Also Rika's image as a mother/manager of GATAS was clearly portrayed when she reminded everybody to put on their shin guards.
Yossi joined in the last PK shootout and scored.

As fans waited at the exit, they noticed that Rika left together with Notchi and Sengoku, sharing one car. Rika wore a black t-shirt. Yossi exited later; she wore black too, and left alone.

(Me says...) It's a well-known fact, at least among all Japanese 1444wotas, that Yossi reads 2ch reports.

A fan drew his experiences to GATAS' Sacas public practice on 17th Jun.


(Page 1) As he had seen Yossi in a 'live' TV show that day ( doing Tsuji's birthday comment, in wavy hair and donning Michael's hat), he somehow expected to see Yossi spotting wavy hair. But when Rika and Yossi made their entrance, Yossi's hair was straight and tied back in a ponytail.
(Page 2) Warming up time. The girls spilt into groups of two; Rika with Yossi. The stretching involves one person running after another onigokko style. He watched Rika running after Yossi and then Yossi after Rika. Both seemed bend not to get caught and to supporters, they actually looked like they were playing a game of catching.



(Page 5-2nd row) Yossi made fun of Rika's lack of stamina. (On Rika) "She even asked why there's no player change?". Rika pulled up her jersey and hid her face in embarrassment.

(Me says...) Many people, after attending the event, had actually talked about that Yossi and Rika's warming up in 2ch, because, apparently, the girls looked very happy chasing one another.

Fans noticed that Yossi's name was omitted from the poster of coming musical 'FOOTLOOSE'.

(Me says...) Schedule clash because of hAngry last minute trip to AX? This time, it seems UF 's really bend on reaching out to US fans. Or maybe Yossi didn't want to do the musical and after the advice from Yuki senpai, she now knew how to say 'no' diplomatically. Anyway this is good news to me. I never like the girls mixing with dregs (strong word?). Bad influence.

EDIT: Nakazawa Yuuko ne-san blogged that she just received a new role in a musical. Could she be the replace for Yossi? Talk is rife in jp2# forum that Yossi may be running in the Honolulu marathon, the one she recently talked about in a tv show, so her training would clash with the musical. During her STB event, she even joked and asked whether fans would form a tour group and go support her if she were to take part.

"Madonna? Marilyn Monroe? And who else? Recently in Tokyo Alice my image was flirtatious eh? Ermm... who else, who else? Mariah Carey? What type of woman... I like cute people. All right, those cutie type."

"Cute? Yes, C-ute is cute. Berry is cute too. Well, Rikachan is cute~"

When news of this got back to 2ch, even before the actual event has ended, it caused a big hoo-ha and mass celebration for 1444 wotas. Fans think that when Rika was not around, Yossi had gotten bold. The question asked what Yossi think of Rika apart from being in the same generation, no one had expected that Yossi would think of 'You mean do I like her?' because there are so many other things she can say. She could talk about their friendship, or the work they are doing togther now, but only GOD knows what's going on inside Yossi's head. And as if by saying she likes Rika wasn't enough, she had said 'she loves Rikachan'! And yet she didn't want fans to think the wrong way when she had used the milder 'like' word.
A male fan had gotten so disturbed by what Yossihad said that he actually called up his female friend and asked if it's common for a girl to tell her very best friend that she loves her (friendship-wise platonically) when the reply was 'It was gross!"
And then when Yossi was asked what kind of women she look up to, the question somehow became what kind of women she like. When Fans thought the cute topic had come to an end Yossi suddenly added "Rikachan is cute". Although Yossi quickly explained that she had just said it for this time being, it makes no sense at all since Rika wasn't there at the 2nd show. Totally gratuitous? You decide. >_<

(Me says...)Yossi seems to like songs from Kome Kome Club. Previously it was 'Aishiteru'. BTW, 'Kimi ga iru dake de' has very touching lyrics. I wonder how many times they have sang it during their karaoke sessions.

The Biggest Announcement!

On 21st June, at her STB show, Yoshizawa Hitomi officially said that she loves Ishikawa Rika.

RIKA WENT TO SEE YOSSI!!!!!

And this is no rumor.
It was reported widely in Japanese forums.
Wotas were speculating if Rika would turn up since Yossi attended Rika's STB the last time. Most thought Rika would appear for the 2nd show, but the lady appeared for the first show and even before the lights were dimmed, so quite a number of people saw her. Apparently Rika sat where Yossi sat before, on the 2nd level. A co-star from Tokyo Alice was with her. Someone mentioned that Yossi's mother was there too, though this is yet to be verified, but there's no mistake that Rika was there!!!

Yossi wore a one-piece dress; a pink and long resort style skirt! I won't go into the song tracklist as it wasn't of importance, but there's something we must know. When Yossi was singing Kome Kome Club 'Kimi ga iru dake de', she kept stealing glances at the 2nd floor.

One wota wrote this after the event: I didn't know Rika was present since I had sat at the ground level. When Yossi was singing Kome Kome Club 'Kimi ga iru dake de', I noticed that she was looking up and I had thought foolishly to myself if only Rika was here and Yossi was looking at her. It was only after the show that I learned that Rika was really present. Saikou!

During a MC:
"On 11th of October, I'll have another show here. Do come again. Do write 'Yossi' in your schedule diary for that day. Now with me, a song request survey you have filled in for October's show ( bla bla bla....) V-u-den's Hitorijime. Eh... You mean this?"

(Yossi then walked sideway across the stage as if a crab walking)

(crowd laughed)

"And MINIMONI's Janken pyon? No way!"

"Won't it hurt?"

Crowd: "It'll be all right."

"I'll think about it then. And, well, Melon Kinenbi's too erotic, the ambience here is moody, or maybe I can set up a pole here?" (erotic pole dancing)

(crowd clapped and cheered)

"Kill Me Kiss Me. Ermm, this is a 2-girl rock group right? Should I call Angry to come?"

(Crowd cheered loudly)

"Maybe Angry should write "11th October - hAngry" in her schedule diary too."

"... this is Ishikawa Rika-chan's song right? That's a very high-pitched song!"

A wota noticed that when Yossi read out 'Hitorijime' song name, Rika was clapping over her head.

Some of you may be wondering what's up with Yossi covering herself in green.
Yes, she covered herself from head to toe in GREEN! GREEN!



At first I thought Yossi was attending a private Yuuko's birthday party, because she's with Yaguchi and Natchi, and I was already thinking if Rika would appear and if she did, what would she be wearing. It looked as if a costume party based on Yossi's attire.



Turned out, the three of them were actually special guests of Yuuko's CDS (Birthday Live show) and Yossi had dressed herself as a seaweed! That's why she's all green. Apparently, the reason behind the seaweed theme is that Yossi and Yuuko had been talking about 'mozuku' and Yossi had 'warned' Yuuko that a seaweed might appear, though nobody really expected Yossi to mean this instead.

And...

Yaguchi started a little game. She planned to meet 25 current and ex momusu members in two days. Yossi was #2 and Rika was #9. Yaguchi met Yossi yesterday and Rika today. Actually today, Yaguchi was planning to meet Kei, who became #8, when she learned that Kei was dining with Rika. Hence it was killing two birds with one stone. When Yaguchi was with Kemeko and Rika, she suddenly felt nostalgic and reminisced the last time the three of them, plus missing Yossi, drinking throughout the night. They had so much fun and now she hoped they could do it again.


(Me says...) Yossi's STB is tomorrow (21st Jun) so she's probably busy rehearsing today.
