Host: So Rika, did you try to date after your graduation? (asked after Mari confessed about her dating fiasco that caused her to quit from MM)
Rika: There are times someone I find good comes along, but usually I don't know what to do from there.
Host: Yossi, you should lead her.
Yossi: I do. I tell her 'go ahead .'

Rika: Yes, I often discuss with her my problems, over drinks. We often drink together. Just recently, we were drinking and she said 'on a totally unrelated note, I think you really are cute.'

 (studio uproar)

One guy guest: Is that a confession again?

Yossi: No, not that~

(Yossi ears turned quite red, I mean who wouldn't?)

Freudian slip, and a remarkable show of courage.

Yossi calling herself a 'man' from Saitama is the best Freudian slip ever! Although she herself noticed the slip, the damage was done. Then Mari asking Yossi 'don't tell me you're...' is pure gold too. Rika appeared slow in reacting; perhaps she wasn't paying attention and most probably was going through her coming speech in her mind. But when she knew what had happened, she wasn't really amused by it. I wonder why. The second time around, Yossi managed to say 'onna no ko' correctly but the crowd still jeered. She refuted "But I am a woman!" and even challenged the crowd if they wanted a body check. Kei and Mari shouted 'Hey!' and Yossi turned back and said "no, that won't do, right?" before turning back and said almost poutingly "because I'm an Idol." Although Yossi should be looking where Kei and Mari were, I self-willingly believe that she was actually looking at Rika and it was Rika's presence that made Yossi mention the no-nos of an Idol, as if she was suddenly reminded of something, like someone often admonishing her to behave like an idol.

When Rika turned back to look at Yossi (for affirmation?) when she said she was an ordinary 'onna no ko' who got to be a Morning Musume, I felt the vibes all so familiar. How many were like me and were reminded of the way Yossi had just looked at Rika? (ok, you may insist it were Kei and Mari.) The eye-contacts even though the stage was full of people; they were behaving as if only both of them were on stage. Later, they showed their unmatched rapport, again, when Rika had only mentioned 'from the same generation' and Yossi was already searching for the missing 4th Gen member. Going along, Rika told Yossi there's no need to look because there will always be 4 of them from 4th Gen. I never expected that coming from Rika and, to speak the truth, her words touched me deeply. Mainly because she was the last person on my mind that I think would dare to defy the management. Such bold statement. I would say it was a remarkable show of courage from Rika~ bravo!

And finally, not only to Rika, but to all of us as well, 4th Gen will forever be 'otosan, okasan, and musukodachi.'

RararaRUN 2009-05-23 feat. Yossi

Yossi loves to run, but she hasn't been running for weeks. Someone (the female host?) said that most women don't like running because it makes their thighs/legs look big. Yossi agreed and the coach said it was because they were running the wrong way, since running like you were kicking will train the muscles where you don't want them to be. If done correctly, the legs won't look 'big', the hips won't expand, instead the buttocks will perk up making the person look better in jeans. Yossi seemed really glad to learn about it. She said whenever she slips into a pair of jeans, she realises one of her thigh is bigger than the other.
The host asked when Yossi started running. Yossi said she was once very 'big' and couldn't jump in her concerts. The hosts were surprised. In that concert, despite using all her strength to jump high, her manager later told her 'That wasn't a jump at all'. That comment made her set her mind on getting her body back into shape. Slowly, when she shed her weight, she wasn't as clumsy and there were changes in herself that made her feel good. The host said when 'futsal' was mentioned, people will think of her, and Yossi said she has been playing futsal for five years now. She still trains regularly, like once a week. And sometimes, even though the training is energy-straining, she will still go jogging when she gets back from training. The female host thought Yossi 'kakkoii' and asked why. Yossi said she likes the feeling of being totally drained before sleep.
The show proceeded to the 'practical' part. When the coach was scrutinizing her running, Yossi said she felt funny being watched. After that, the coach said Yossi's running form was good and he could only point out one thing that needed rectifying. Yossi's running posture changed after that and she said she should have no problem running another 10km now.
Yossi seems interested in marathon running and the coach said a person normally need to train five months, but Yossi may take only 2 months.

(Me says...) Rika once said Yossi has drooping eyes that look calming (msn Tokyo Alice interview). I wonder if she meant these~
